Reviews
I stayed here 5 nights during the Commonwealth Games and was very pleased with my choice. I particularly liked the huge bath towels and the easy-going regime for traditional Scottish breakfast, whereby any time up to midday is fine. It seems a very well-run establishment, even boasting a night porter!
Room were lovely & clean. Staff were really friendly. Food & drinks, brilliant. Our server max went above & beyond. Highly recommend!
We wanted a cheaper hotel outside of Glasgow city centre. This pub has a small car park (approx. 7 cars, first come first served) and free onstreet parking is available. The pub is located about 20mins drive from Glasgow city centre; it has less than 10 rooms which are compact and ensuite. The rooms have a TV, hair drier, desk fan, vanity mirror desk, tea and coffee facilities. These rooms however are NOT sufficiently insulated against the noise from the pub which has regular karaoke, live entertainment and quiz nights nearly every night often finishing around midnight. They do provide EAR plugs if you're unable to sleep through the noise! Cooked (all fried) and continental breakfast is available and staff are most accommodating regarding your food requirements if you need anything different. The pub food is similar to a Wetherspoons and was served quickly and importantly arrived hot! My price for a two night stay B&B was £225 for two people. This was a lot cheaper than staying and paying for parking in Glasgow. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.
My family enjoyed another birthday celebration meal here on Friday. The staff werall very accommodating, food and drinks arrived promptly and enjoyed by us all. Staff still managed to keep on top of everything even though it was jumping at the bar on a Friday afternoon into evening. Very nice crowd which was good to see. Excellent staff!✨️
