Private dining - The Boardroom Saturday 18th July, we had 20 friends join us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We all enjoyed the set menu “B” with lots of cocktails & wine. The staff attentiveness was on point, they were confident, knowledgeable & conversational. Food was tasty & good sized portions. The Boardroom was a lovely touch to make the experience more memorable.
We stopped for a late lunch family meal to celebrate my son’s graduation and dined on their set two course lunch menu. Good choice on offer with a couple of additional cost items listed. Service was a bit slow to take orders (drinks and the food order) although we weren’t in a rush so was OK. Food nicely presented and very good overall (my son didn’t like the skinny fries with his main, preferred the chunky chips we had with our haddock). Cocktails 2 for £16, on par with most city centre bars, were well made. £3.50 for a small bottle of coke was a bit pricey (not even full can size) but ho hum. Discretionary 10% service charge added (mentioned it was not a gratuity). £190 for 5 people for lunch. But was a special occasion and the lunch was good with nice surroundings and pleasant non rushed pace. (They could do with a deep clean on their light fittings and windows, looks like the air con has been mucking them up, and a spider decided to abseil down onto our table at one point 😱)
Lovely restaurant beautiful decor. Staff were very attentive. The menu was great for a itison voucher. The was great very fresh and presented.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food, atmosphere, and service here. Overall, a great meal and I would definitely return! Starters: The chicken liver pâté was delicious, though the plating made it a little difficult to eat. The tomato and mozzarella was pleasant, if not particularly memorable. Mains: The haddock tortillas were a highlight—fresh, clean, and a very generous portion. The steak was also perfectly cooked and came with a great serving of fries. Dessert: Whatever you do, save room for the sticky toffee pudding. It was a 10/10 and easily the best part of the night. Great vibes and friendly service. Highly recommended!
Spontaneous dinner at Ralph & Finns and what a perfect way to end the day! After trying two other places and getting turned away :) we didn't have high hopes walking in, but we were so blessed- there was a beautiful table waiting for us. The restaurant itself is stunning inside, and yes, its on the pricier side, but exactly what you would expect in a place like this. The menu had plenty of great choices for both food and drinks. Service was fantastic - our American waitress was especially lovely and friendly, which really added to the experience. We went for mains and desserts. I had the Veal ( medium rare....I think :)) and it was cooked perfectly, paired with a lovely glass of red. My friends had steak and chips, and we all couldn't resist dessert, followed by coffee and tea ( which I completely forgot to photograph!) Overall, such a lovely, relaxed ending to a day full of spontaneous fun. Would definitely return
