Great venue a big improvement on the original. I do have to mention that the music is too loud between performances. People do want to talk before and in the interval. Staff are terrific and the bars well managed.
Husband booked seats for the Thursday night at the comedy club, started with a drink in the beautiful church it has now moved to, beautiful building, and just a joy to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The performance itself was good with 3 acts and a compere. We were asked if we wanted to sit at the front which we declined very quickly as wanted to enjoy the comedy not be the butt of the jokes. So we were sat behind a bit of a pole even though there were other seats more central that weren’t booked or taken. We still had a decent view and really enjoyed the acts. It was a laugh filled hour and a half and some good drinks in a lovely setting made our night, would go again but maybe ask to be seated elsewhere.
This place was the highlight of our visit in Glasgow! The lineup of comedians was stellar and being the only Americans in the audience we were hilariously and appropriately roasted. Great fun!
First time in this venue presently surprised on arrival had a small refreshment before going into the comedy show really enjoyed myself and will be back again ,drink was great prices for being in the westend bar on arrival and one inside the room also the staff thou ,nice to see such happy workers which gave great energy to the whole nyt lots of belly laughs all round almost resulting in xrtra toilet break 😀
Great night, and atmosphere. Having 2 bars was better for getting served. And new venue, in Websters Church was nice and spacious - airier compared to the previous basement venue at Woodlands Road. A few smaller criticisms. The pizza slices were very oily & unpalatable I.m.o. & some staff could of been a bit friendlier. As they pulled me up for tsking photos during the show which is understandable. But considering other customers were talking during the performances, which is plain rude, taking the occassional photo is less obtrusive. Susie McCabe was definitely performing at her best. & Viv Gee is top of her game. Matthew Gallagher was also fab....with his faces pulled & acting abilities. WILL definitely be back.
