As we continue to 'bag' the Michelin starred restaurants in Scotland (this was number 9), we enjoyed a wonderful lunch experience yesterday at Cail Bruich - one of the two starred restaurants in Glasgow. The lunch menu was £100pp. We were made very welcome by everyone with whom we interacted, from beginning to end. The food was excellent. Well prepared, presented and, most importantly, tasty! As expected, an excellent choice of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks. I was driving, so had the ginger beer. To be honest, it was a bit disappointing. Next time, my wife can drive! It's always nice when staff are friendly and helpful, without being intrusive or obsequious. They got it spot on at Cail Bruich. Highly recommended.

A wine-centric tasting experience, with a star. The food experience at Cail Bruich is reliant heavily on the drinks pairing and the sommelier is able to tell excellent story without your expected wine snobbery. The serving staff are warm and friendly which pairs well with the limited tables. We typically go all-out on these and spent around £650 for 2. You can defintely do this cheaper but I feel you would miss out on the magic.

An outstanding finale for our time in Scotland. The “chef’s table” experience afforded us the opportunity to witness the precision with which our food was crafted. Each course was a veritable delight—and enhanced by an excellent wine pairing. With food and service of this caliber, I have no doubt that more stars are in Cail Bruich’s future.

Exceptional food and amazing service. Our server ( Hannah) was so attentive, friendly and knowledgeable along with the rest of the staff made the evening extra special for us. The attention to detail here is incredible and clearly stretches far beyond the food and drink.I would highly recommend Cail Bruich and will certainly be back.

Michelin 1-star for 4 consecutive years. An absolutely flawless experience at Cail Bruich. What stands out most is the incredible balance of flavors in every single dish including the dessert —nothing is out of place, and the seasoning is spot on. The sequence of the tasting menu is masterfully planned; the progression felt natural and kept us excited for the next plate without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Top tip: If they offer the extra caviar, get it. It added a brilliant depth of flavor and a salty pop that perfectly elevated the dish. Lorna McNee and the team are operating at the top of their game. Easily one of the best meals in Glasgow, if not the UK. Highly recommended for a special occasion!
