Two block from the train station, Indigo is luxurious hotel with a bit of modern vibe. The rooms are large, comfortable, a/c'd and new bathrooms. Service from the staff has been very good. Indigo has a large lobby, a bar and full dining service. One could easily do a family gathering here. Overall, you will be very comfortable here.
It was a bit pricey for a one night stay, but it was one of the cheapest in the city for a Saturday Night at the beginning of July. Needed a room to come back to after our concert. Not a lot to grumble about other than a room door that was a bit sticky and wouldn't open, but we brought that up upon checking out. Comfy bed. Clean room. Very nice modern bathroom with a generously sized shower. A nice friendly gentleman behind the desk taking interest in our stay and very informative about what transport to get to our gig. Our breakfast came with the price of the room, it was delicious but some of the items on the Scottish breakfast seemed to have been pre cooked and the only fresh thing on the plate was maybe the egg which was very oily. There was plenty of other options though if a fry-up isn't for you. Overall very good. Would stay again.
This review is truly a 5-star because of Alexandra. During our stay, the chef either got sick or quit after the first day, and unfortunately breakfast became very disorganized. The first morning there was no hot breakfast at all, and on the second and third mornings the wait for food was extremely long. You could tell someone was trying their best, but overall the experience just wasn’t what it should have been. The reason we kept coming back was Alexandra. She was incredibly kind, pleasant, and professional throughout the whole situation. Even while dealing with frustrated guests, she stayed calm, kept apologizing for the delays, and genuinely did everything she could to make the experience better for everyone. Her attitude and customer service completely changed the atmosphere for us. A huge thank you to Alexandra for her patience and kindness. For her sake, I truly hope the restaurant is able to resolve its chef/staffing issues soon because employees like her are hard to find.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hotel Indigo Glasgow in the city centre during our family trip to Scotland. From the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of! A huge thank you to Erin, Calvin and Leo G at the front desk… they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout our stay. Their customer service truly made a difference and helped make our trip so enjoyable! But honestly, I feel so bad for not getting the names of some of the other team members we interacted with because everyone was really great. The hotel itself is immaculate. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully maintained. We had three rooms booked, and the staff thoughtfully placed all of us together, even giving us connecting rooms!! That made traveling with family so much easier and more enjoyable. The bar in the hotel has a really cool atmosphere, and the breakfast buffet each morning was absolutely lovely with great service and quality food. Roughly 14£. Worth it!! Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve truly had. The staff made us feel genuinely cared for, and we would happily stay here again the next time we’re in Glasgow. Highly recommend!
What a beautiful hotel. Right in the middle of the city centre. Looks great, staff were friendly BUT…. What terrible pillows. Honestly, you would think hotels would have realised that a pillow is the make or break experience for a good sleep. For anyone that likes a firm pillow, this place is not for you. The piling of all 4 pillows to try and make a decent pillow? Yes, this is this place.
