We stayed here for one night. The location is great for walking around Glasgow, close to the university. The room was clean, although quite small. The narrow stairs were a bit of a challenge when carrying our suitcases. We felt cozy and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, giving us recommendations on various Glasgow attractions. We highly recommend this place.
We are grateful to have found Sandyford Lodge when our booking at another hotel was cancelled on us and we were stranded after 10pm. We called around, looking for a hotel that was open, and finally found Sandyford. Billy greeted us and made us feel welcome right away. He signed us up for breakfast for the next morning and helped us to our room. Service at the hotel was excellent and the Scottish breakfast was lovely (served at their other location, Sandyford Hotel, nearby). We took the only room they had available which had two beds (a double and a single). It was quite a large room, so we had plenty of space to lay out our luggage. The ceilings are very high and the windows are huge, which made the space very comfortable. Some of the furnishings were worn and the room wasn’t decorated, but that’s only cosmetic, so didn’t matter to us. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the rain shower was excellent. This is a great location, very walkable to lots of attractions and shops. We would absolutely stay again!
The owners are doing a brilliant job of bringing this hotel up to the grand standard the outside grandeur it once was. The reception staff are outstanding 👏 Location is very good with lots of pubs, shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Recommend
Stayed here a few weeks ago for a concert at the Hydro and couldn’t recommend enough. Antony was super helpful at check-in ensuring a place to park and a comfortable room for my mum. The one thing I’d be aware of (and I should have checked) is only a few ground floor rooms and no lift if accessibility is a concern of yours. Thanks again!
Really great hotel. Staff really friendly and could not have been more helpful. Brilliant location for the Hydro very easy to talk to. We had a large triple room which had just been renovated , fantastic bathroom and really comfy beds had a great night sleep. Would definitely stay here again. Car parking space is a real bonus
