Petite female left to sit for 10 minutes in a dark alleyway. Calling amd calling reception to gain access to the car park! Turns out the male receptionist was sitting on his personal mobile phone! Room had holes in the wall (next to the mirror) damplness on ceiling and coving, shower was too small you band your elbows off it, soap was disgusting, wallpaper falling off and not even lined up, Hald the TV channels didnt work and the whole room was shaking from 1am till about 3 with the adjoining room slamming and banging around (could even hear the drawers being slammed shut) far too over priced for the shocking rooms and service. The only man left working at the enj of the night was sat very comfortably watching TV washing his takeaway.
Booked as gift overnight stay. Staff very helpful. Accommodation was very good, a little expensive but on a couple of main bus routes. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and the hot breakfast was, hot! As the booking was made via Booking. Com, As a gift, I couldn't add my BW rewards membership points as it was Booked through a 3rd party operator.
Been staying there on 06/10/2025. Was into the 8th month of pregnancy back then , arrived the hotel way too early before check in due to escaping from an abusive at that time “partner” not having anywhere to go . Neil went out of his way and sorted out the room for me asap seeing that I am pregnant when I just asked him if it would be okay if I just waited sitting in the lobby for a few hours until check in time and if it’s possible to just use the toilet if there is any for public use on the ground floor - less than 5 minutes later I was already in my room having my peace and quiet time . What an absolute angel Neil is ! Nice , friendly and highly professional! Definitely deserves a raise and promotion
I recently stayed at the Best Western Glasgow after booking through Revolut points and paying extra, which made the experience even more disappointing. We were given what felt like one of the worst rooms in the hotel—an accessible room despite none of us needing it—and while accessibility is important, the condition of the room was concerning and I feel for anyone who actually requires those facilities. The TV remote didn’t work, making it impossible to watch TV, the WiFi kept dropping, the heating barely worked, and the lights were flickering. The floor was visibly dirty, the shower head and toilet were not properly cleaned, and there wasn’t even a toilet brush provided. Overall, the room felt neglected and well below the standard expected.
