Great place for food and always excellent service.
Decent pool club but not very welcoming to outsiders. Visited twice in the past 6 months as near but not local. Both occassions turned up asking if any available were tables. Told both times there was around a 45 min wait time for a table. No problem. I was ok with waiting but here's the catch. They won't reserve a table for non members. So if within the 45 min wait time a member decided to log on to their app and reserve a table, tough luck, the member gets the table. This policy was reflected in the staffs attitude with an unwillingness to accommodate an outsider other than a 'I'll stick you on the list of non members waiting for a table, but bare in mind members take priority'. Non members rely on luck to get a table. So I waited 45 mins and unfortunately a member took the next table, so I waited a further 30 mins and eventually got a table. Tables play well, there's good music and plenty of tv's showing live sport. Good club if you're local and buy a membership. However, to non locals unless you're willing to chuck away £30 on a membership you won't get good use out of, you're relying on luck on whether or not they will have a table available for you, because, just to labour the point, they won't reserve tables for non members.
