The menu has a good variety for both seafood lovers and meat eaters, which is why I stuck with this place for a birthday dinner with friends. We ended up sticking to seafood anyways - everything was delicious and portions were nice and generous. The sticky toffee pudding which was served as my birthday surprise wasn't the most edible, but I still appreciated how nice the waiter and gesture was and the atmosphere was lovely.
What a delightful experience, service lovely and relaxed, waiter suggested the chicken which I would never go for, I always go for the beef. The bone marrow gravy was rich and hearty, the chicken succulent, roast potatoes perfect, carrots delicious, Nero cabbage amazing, other veg with roasted jar red peppers wow. Yorkies looked over done but tasted lovely. Amazing Sunday lunch just delicious. 😊
The burger was delicious as was the dessert. They do a really reasonably priced lunch menu. £12-18 for one to three courses per person. We did 2 courses and a soft drink, it cost about £20 each including tip. Its quite rare these days to eat out in a pretty setting with friendly and attentive staff for that price. I'd go back and I'd recommend, you won't be disappointed.
The steak was melt-in-the-mouth delicious — I didn’t even need a steak knife! £70 for Chateaubriand with 2 x sides, 2 x sauces, and a bottle of wine - enough for 2 people - felt like great value for the quality. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaging. Cocktails made the perfect dessert — absolutely divine. I literally recommend this place to everyone! I wish you could taste these photos 👌
