Wines by the glass are not fresh. Our party tried three different wines and all were the same. I'd say 90%+ of the clientele are drinking cocktails which might explain why the wine is left standing for too long after opening. Maybe offer less wines by the glass if you don't have the demand?
Chose this place for a meet up as none of us live in Glasgow any more and it was convenient for public transport. Started off downstairs, then moved to the street when the sun went down. We had a couple of cheese plates and a couple of charcuterie plates between five of us - all of which were excellent. Service was great and kudos to the lady from Newcastle who was endlessly patient as our drinks order got more and more convoluted.
Delightful, chill bar with incredibly friendly service. Great for a date night or just to have a chill evening with friends, this bar down the stairs is a treat. The wine menu is extensive, sectioned by red, white, sparkling, orange, rosé and more from all around the world! The decor is simple neat and tidy, the lights are dimmed and candles scatter the joint. The cheese platter was incredibly pleasant and I can only imagine how well it pairs with the meat platter. It’s loud enough to chat and not be overheard, but not so loud that it’s disruptive! Staff were very attentive and smiley! Thanks so much for a lovely experience, cheers :)
Friendly and attentive staff. Warm decor and good atmosphere. Charcuterie board is filling. Wines also all hit the spot and a good selection. Close to central station so handy for travel. Recommended and will be back.
Came here while in town visiting my partner! My partner raves about this place so we had to go while I was in Glasgow. I can completely understand why he loves it so much! The atmosphere is great and we were able to get a walk in for 6-7 people immediately. The owner and our server were so welcoming. The drinks were fantastic, the cheeseboard came very promptly and was also delicious. I’m back home in Canada now and already miss this place! Will for sure be visiting every time I’m in town.
