Service was great! Beer and drink selection was incredible, with several new US beers available on the menu. Food was typical bar food but delicious and with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Definitely recommend this fun pub.
I'm a huge Brewdog fan. The Black Heart stout is awesome. A normal visit includes working my way through the expansive drinks menu. So much selection and variety. The food is a must as well. A good selection that pairs very well with beer and keeps you on the sober side of drunk.
First of all shout out to Ewan, Hamza and Brendan, absolutely tremendous service throughout the whole night. Went in for the wing Wednesday deal, and put an absolute hurting on some tasty scran. Got through about 3 plates of wings and 4 plates of cauliflower wings. Apart from the lemon butter wings, all of them were very solid. I’m not a huge fan of brewdog beers, but with the 50% student discount, it made the black heart go down a lot smoother! The atmosphere inside is cool and cosy, which allowed the wings with their slightly foosty homemade sauces go down all the better. The sauces they had on the table were slightly out of date, but we powered through without it. Service absolutely made the night, everyone was incredibly friendly, and Ewan especially went above and beyond to make our night excellent! Our seventh Brewdog and possibly the best yet... This place has the usual post-industrial Brewdog feel. Lots of steel, cement, wooden tables and cosy booths. We had the lunch club deal - a burger and a pint for £12.99. The punk burger was very well done and presented and was very tasty. Later in the afternoon we had pulled pork fries, this Brewdog specialises in barbecued meat, and again it was very good and well-presented. All cooked with an attention to detail which was noticeable. We had two new beers for us, 'crewbrew' and 'home brew' and a staff member explained the selection process for these beers and how the staff were involved. Crewbrew was hazy with a hoppy kick, a bit like a less fruity hazy Jane. Homebrew was a full on dark beer, at 8.4% served in 1/2 pints. Two very different beers and both well worth trying. Service was exceptionally good. It's often been a feature of Glasgow pubs for me that staff are naturally friendly, cheerful and helpful, without being over the top and this was like that. Knowledgeable about the beers, good with advice, and relaxed while serving us. Our dog has been in several Brewdogs and this is the first time she has had her photo taken and stuck up on the wall. Paying with a gift voucher didn't phase them either, that created some problems in London, but was handled well here. So all-in-all a really good afternoon, great food, beer and service.
Absolutely spot on. Good food and service on a dreary night in Glasgow. Warm atmosphere served up by staff. Dinner was excellent, with plenty of choice available. This applies to the drinks offerings as well. Nice to see a range of promotions on offer such as buy one burger get one for 1p. Promotion available by booking online. Will return for endless wings and midweek cocktail offer. Overall very satisfied by visit.
