I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Bothy Glasgow. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of character, making it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great care. Every dish we ordered was fresh, well-balanced, and thoroughly enjoyable. It’s evident that the kitchen takes pride in both quality and authenticity. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the outstanding hospitality. Vasu looked after us throughout our visit and was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She patiently guided us through the menu, explained the dishes, and helped us choose options that perfectly suited our preferences. Her recommendations were excellent, and her warm, cheerful nature made us feel completely at home. It’s rare to come across service that feels so personal and sincere. A heartfelt thank you to Vasu and the entire team for making our evening so memorable. Great food, fantastic service, and a lovely atmosphere. Bothy Glasgow is a place I would happily recommend to anyone visiting the city, and I look forward to returning the next time I’m in Glasgow.
If you are looking for a proper cosy Glasgow restaurant with comforting Scottish food, add The Bothy to your list immediately 😮💨 Tucked away in Glasgow’s West End, this place feels warm the second you walk in. Dark wood interiors, red wine, Sunday roasts, comforting food and a lovely atmosphere all around (they also do weddings ans private events). We tried both the beef and pork Sunday roast and WOW. The beef was incredibly soft, the pork was packed with flavour and the truffle mash deserves a post of its own honestly 😋 ALL served with Yorkshire, thyme & golden syrup roasted roots, red cabbage and duck fat potatoes. We also had: • Chicken Croquette with Tarragon emulsion and rocket • Hickory Smoked Salmon & Cod Mousse with Charcoal crackers and pickle salad • Sticky toffee pudding with tablet ice cream • Hazelnut Iced Parfait with Mango, Hazelnut Brittle and Meringue Everything was unreal and it’s only £33pp for the 3-course😍 This is definitely one of those Glasgow food spots that just feels properly Scottish in the best way possible ✨
I had the small private room to celebrate my 70th birthday, a party of 20 people. The room is beautiful with plenty room to move around & mingle. Was able to use own playlist & family organised a photo slide show. The food and service was exceptional, Our waitress was amazing and so friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend as we had the room 7pm till midnight, so we could stay on for drinks & dancing 💃 🕺 🎉 . I got great feedback from all who attended. Thank you all at the Bothy. Well done 👏🏻
Beautiful Scottish restaurant with fantastic food. Lovely location in the west end of Glasgow down a cute little lane. Food is delicious and great quality. Service and atmosphere is also great. The also offer a great value for money lunch deal. Two courses for only £29!
The food was spectacular! 🤩 I really enjoyed the pork with mashed potatoes 🥔, carrots 🥕, and turnips. We also had soup 🍲 and steak 🥩 which was scrumptious. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was mouth watering delicious! 🤤 The service was phenomenal! The place was so unique and decorated beautifully. This was my favorite restaurant during my visit to Glascow.
