Celebration menu. We had just bought our new house and booked table to celebrate. Food was good as usual but was slapped down on table. Waiting staff seemed disinterested and bored. Barely talked to us nor acknowledged our presence for most of time there. Tried to order a second bottle of wine to celebrate but told surily that they were closing early and no time. So much for us trying to celebrate! Why take bookings at 7.30 for the celebration menu if you're closing at 9.30? We felt the staff were pulling an early night despite lots of people still in restaurant. Very sad and disappointed as we used to be loyal and regular customers.
Went with a group of 30 from work and service was perfect from meal to drinks. Couldn't fault anything from food to friendliness of staff who couldn't be anymore helpful and pleasant
Having been a regular customer, a number of years ago, when I worked nearby, I was looking forward to taking my wife for a pre-theatre dinner. Sadly, first impressions were not good. There was no warmth in the welcome from the manager, there was a perfunctory showing us to a table, from which we were then moved. A drinks order was taken but the manager refused to take an order for the meal (we were looking to save a bit of time). The food when it arrived was excellent, and we enjoyed it (steak and linguine) and the wine. But when it came time to pay, the manager tried to charge us for a two-course order. No apology was offered when this was pointed out. It was clear that there was no desire to welcome us back to the restaurant. And we won’t be returning. Most disappointed
Great friendly restaurant, always busy so best to book especially for a weekend. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced.
