Truly a long standing gem! The menu is varied, using lots of Scottish produce, but with global flavours thrown in. The food is excellent, prepared from great ingredients, with care and attention. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions. I ate at a different place on my first night, which was good, but next time I’ll happily eat here twice.
Impeccable service, delicious authentic food, served right! We were there celebrating a birthday, and I am so glad we picked Stravaigin. The food was delicious, served right at the right temperature. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Biggest shout out to Ryan, our server. Thank you for making it an even more special day celebrating the birthday! One of the best restaurant experiences I've had across many countries. We stopped here to celebrate my birthday, and our server Ryan went above and beyond. Our service over our dinner of a few hours was exceptional and consistent. The drinks and food were stellar and made us only want to order more as we enjoyed the night. Highly recommend stopping at the Stravaigin, you will not be disappointed, but you might leave FULL of food!
We had such a fantastic experience here last night after struggling to find many dog friendly restaurants in the city. The staff found us the perfect table with great atmosphere but not too loud. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The recommendations were exceptional and every dish was surprising in the best way. Must visit for sophisticated Scottish food.
What a great experience visiting Stravagin! Food and team were stunning. We had a table for three tucked high in the mezzanine… we all loved that location and will be asking to be sat there again. 2 of our party ate from the Sunday roast menu… for starters… soup of the day which was extremely flavourful, and seared cauliflower with hazelnuts and curry leaves… I highly recommend this dish it was delicious! These were followed by the roast rump of beef, which was tender and cooked to perfection, and all the accompanying vegetables cooked perfectly, special mention for the hispi cabbage … and the onion purée. Our other diner chose the a la carte menu… grilled sardines to start cooked to perfection.., followed by a loin of venison cooked to perfection. We forced ourselves to have dessert…none of which disappointed. Fantastic crème brulle, and a velvety chocolate cremaux, and i really enjoyed the quirky serving of Brie with brioche and onion chutney. Can’t wait to return to this gem of a Glasgow restaurant again soon. Well done to all the team.
