The Social Hub is exactly as advertised: a central hub for your stay in Glasgow, whether that be for work, travel or study. Thank you to TSH for your kindness and hospitality during my Glasgow trip. I enjoyed: - Easy to use laundry system via TSH app; - On-site restaurant for breakfast, brunches and dinners (please ensure always to check that the 20% long stay discount is applied!); - SíSí bar and restaurant on Level 8 has a great view over the city and chill bar vibes; - Shared fridge and kitchen spaces; - Meeting room spaces. If you are open to exploring Christian faith, there is a great church (Merchant City Church) which meets on-site at the meeting room space every Sunday morning (11am).
Food is great. I would REALLY love some consistency here. There’s different processes every time I go (I don’t mind any of them, but I just wish I knew which one I was in for) Seating: Sometimes you just wander in and pick your table. Sometimes someone will stop you and ask questions and then let you pick your seat anyway. Ordering food: Sometimes someone will immediately come to your table and take an order Sometimes there’s an indefinite wait before you have to go to the counter to order, then vaguely point at your table because there’s no table numbers. Is it table service or not? Pick one please Ordering drinks: Again sometimes table service, sometimes not. Sometimes you just have to walk up to a server and they’ll ask what you want in the middle of the walkway… sometimes they’ll tell you to go all the way around to the coffee bar and order there. It’s very confusing. Paying: Again sometimes they come to you with a card machine and close your tab then and there before you’re even done. Sometimes you have to ask for the bill Sometimes you just pay at the counter before you leave Because of this system I’ve sat at uncleared benches and been accused of not paying for my drink when it’s someone else’s seat I just took who left without paying. Please some consistency and make it clear how to order, maybe just introduce an ordering QR? this place will be amazing.
Had breakfast lunch dinner and drinks at the restaurant during my stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Angela. Tables well spaced out. Fantastic portions. Not a massive menu but enough to have a decent choice. Food and cocktails were delicious. The whole vibe of the restaurant and hotel was great, definitely a place to just relax.
Very cool and friendly staff. Chill atmosphere. Open plan rooms but still feels intimate. Great for large groups or couples.Ross was fantastic! Made great suggestions for dinner and drinks and a lovely sense of humor. Will be back!
Lovely place, great ambience and wonderful and warm service from Laura. We felt right at home! It's a funky, lovely spot and the food was super.
