We booked for the restaurant/bar area. Upon entering and sitting, we waited 15 minutes before anyone came to see us and ask for drinks orders. The food menu was explained and we ordered 4 dishes initially, finishing with 6 in total. The menu was described as small plates with food release as/when ready. Overall the food was of good quality and was tasty. The only problem was how incredibly small the portions were. 'Small plates' is one thing, however these were really slim and, in my husband and I's view, not worth the price. Particularly where relatively cheap ingreadiant (pasta) were involved - one of the pasta dishes we got was £16 and only a couple of bites worth. This continued on to dessert where we ordered the tiramisu which, while tastey, was really small in size - particularly when compared to other similar (small plate) restaurants. Overall however, it was the service which really let this experience down. The staff were lovely but we were left for long periods between plates, drinks and courses which overall felt we were forgotten about. This is possibly due to the location in the restaurant, yet this should not count as we were paying for the same food. As a result, this was a very underwhelming experience and we won't be back. We would also likely share this view with others who intend to go either in group or couple settings. The food concept is great, however you can't help but feel short changed in the portion sizes and, whilst the staff are nice, the service was relatively poor.
Excellent night at Tusco. Service was amazing, kitchen and waiting staff so friendly and the food was fantastic. Highly highly recommend going to Glasgow’s latest big wee thing! I was sceptical as was there on one of the first nights, but it was amazing!
Very tasty food and friendly staff. The lightly cured mackerel had a great texture and the dish had a nice balance of flavors, if lacking a bit of brightness. Meatballs on labneh were phenomenal. Pork was cooked nicely but the dish as a whole felt a bit tame and less playful than the rest. Chocolate crémeux with hazelnuts and strawberries was class. Would definitely recommend
