This place was recommended by the guide on a walking tour of the city. Glad we listened to him! Wide range of freshly prepared 12" pizzas (including haggis pizza) and a pint for less than a tenner and friendly, chatty staff. Very quiet when we got there (Thursday lunchtime) but there's a load of music memorabilia on the walls to look at which would be tricky if it was full. I'd love to be there when a band is on!
Nice beer garden, there was a nice musician too, great vibe. Was thinking to order some food, but noticed a kitchen staff member to smoke in the food prep area while i was waiting at the till. Food hygiene is a deal breaker for me so i did not order, but there are good deals for pizza and burgers.
Went in after brunch with my mum and sister, it was quiet but had Karaoke on which we loveee! The host was so genuinly lovely and an amazing singer 🎤 the staff were brilliant and it was just good vibes, we can't wait to go back and experience a proper night there!
Rocked up for a pint (or two…) and was warmly greeted by the bar tender with whom I had a lovely conversation. The ambience is what one should expect from a pub and the sheer numbers of guests—who seemed to be regulars—gives the impression that it’s a locale that is well respected and lived by its patrons. I didn’t have anything to eat, but did see what appeared to be tasty food served to other patrons. All in all, this pub is a ‘keeper’!
