I hadn't been to this pub in years and my friend and I only in for drinks. Staff and service fine as was the pub itself and the music. However, the Ladies toilets -what an eye opener. I thought at first it was the gents as the smell was over-powering (sorry any gents reading this). Whoever cleans the loos needs to go on a refresher course on hygiene, pretty disgusting. It would make me wonder how clean is the kitchen. I won't rush back, unfortunately.
Our walking tour guide suggested we pop in for a bite and I'm glad my wife and I did! We tried the famous steak pie, a dish that doesn't really exist in America (where we are from). It was delicious! And the price was very fair as well. The staff was kind and when our waitress found out we were on our honeymoon, she made us feel celebrated.
Thanks yet again for having us, staff are so good at what they do and the chef does a fantastic job feeding a large group and still looks chill (well from our side of the bar 😂). Definitely a Glasgow Institution everyone should try the steak pie 🥧😍 but it's all good here x
Had a couple of pints before the Scotland game. Staff very friendly. Outdoor seating. Will definitely be back.
Wee gem of a place. Staying across the road so popped in for lunch. Standard pub grub menu but well prepared and excellent value. Far better than chain pubs. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff
