Excellent location if you want to be in the center of Glasgow. Loud music vibe though until pretty late at night. Didn’t bother me. Staff very friendly. Feels a bit more corporate than other hostels I’ve stayed at. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Could use more bathrooms but it was okay. Overall good not great, but best option I found in Glasgow
Perfect hostel setup. Has lift, extra washrooms and shower at each floor. The dorm rooms have a small pantry with cooking facility and drinking water. Unfortunately the bed I got wasn’t very clean (not fresh blanket and bedsheet) hence reduced 1 star. There’s a small pool table and great sitting area. Staff is great. Very welcoming and they treat everyone with respect. I wish I had booked this place for long instead of Safestay.
I stayed in a private room with shared facilities. The room was modern, clean, and had everything I needed. They provide earplugs, which you'll want, the proximity to the dance clubs is real! That's also what makes the location so good though. You're close to plenty of restaurants, clothing stores, and tourist attractions, all walkable. The shared facilities were spotless and smelt good and I always had a hot shower, which I really appreciated. But it's the service after my stay that I want to rave about. I left my AirPods in the bed (I'd been using them instead of the earplugs) and only realised once I'd reached my next destination. The staff found them, kept them safe, and even posted them on to me so I could get them back. Nothing was damaged or missing. I'm so grateful and genuinely amazed at how they went above and beyond to help. Thank you!
Useful for a one night stand as every hostel are. The hotel is modern, well équipes (plug on the cabin, lockers..), service is very good and it's clean. But there is not enough toilet for each room (2 toilets for like 40 persons ?!), the hostel is next to a dancing bar with music not bad isolated but you hear it as well and the doors are like very loud which quite sad in a place where people sleep and come and go. Otherwise and as every hostel, it's quite depending of the person you will be with in the room. For the price you may find some private room in hotels places evem at the city centre (Point A for example). It's really depend what you are looking for as it isn't a bad hostel and big up for the queer safe place it's important to mention.
