What an absolutely stunning property. And the staff were INCREDIBLE. Talk about the most welcoming and kind staff. I applaud you for how amazing you all were. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
Exceptional stay. The room was fantastic as we were given an upgrade to the honeymoon suite. large, clean and comfortable, with lovely views. Bathroom was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds were lovely as was the area. Food of very high standard for afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. Only slight negative was it was a distance from any restaurants if you wanted them..but we ate in, which was great and advisable.
The whole team at Sherbrooke couldn’t have done more for us on our wedding day - every single person was fantastic. They were incredibly accommodating, even with some of our more unconventional requests, which we really appreciated. Claire showed us around, took the time to understand all the details, and helped us get everything organised, while William looked after us seamlessly on the day itself. A special mention also to the lady at reception who went above and beyond - constantly on hand and making sure everything ran smoothly. It was also a lovely touch that the owner took time to chat with us during our visits in the lead up to the wedding. Thank you to everyone at Sherbrooke - you made the day truly special
I arrived early here with my dogs and Colette who was at the front desk was so helpful and welcoming. She enabled us to have a room ready earlier with the dogs, which really made our lives easier, gave us some drinks made reservations for lunch and dinner at the hotel and actually was so supportive we felt in very good hands. Martin also was very friendly and kind to us and our pets on arrival. He also helped us with our bags to our room. With such excellent and informative staff, we are now looking forwards to our stay in this beautiful hotel. Well done also to the hotels managers as they must be good to have such excellent staff. Full marks and we will come again! P.s. The room is also very spacious and dog friendly with dog beds and bowls. The hotel is only a moment from a good train station to central Glasgow. p.s. Jamal who was front of house and Susan and Suzanne, housekeeping, were very effective during my stay. Jamal was trully brilliant, effecient polite and effective, going beyond what is expected! Florin also was an amazing server at a dinner we had there, full marks to him too. I don't normally add things to my reviews but in this case it was truly deserving!
We celebrated an 80th birthday here in February 2026. We could not have been happier with the beautiful setting, delicious afternoon tea (those sausage rolls!) and the extremely friendly, courteous and efficient service from all the staff at all stages of the event planning and on the day. They really went above and beyond, Mum was really happy and everyone present agreed that it was a fantastic party. Special mention to the lovely young woman who took our aunt on a tour of the hotel when she found out that her wedding anniversary had been held there, 60 years previously.
