Stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try, given how busy it was it seemed like the place to go. We were seated very quickly however the server was not very attentive and it took quite some time receiving the bill. Despite the service not being great, the food was excellent! The soup was unbelievably delicious and the kale and ricotta toastie was so flavourful!
Really liked this spot and would absolutely visit again. The season yogurt bowl was delicious, we also tried the lamb sandwich for brunch. The menu is so interesting and fresh, not like a typical brunch spot. We also loved the coffee, pastries and decor. It’s a modern brunch spot but with lots of personality!
Visited on a very busy Saturday, waiting for about 10 minutes in a holding area at the back of the venue used for storage and suchlike. Unintentional industrial chic. Sat in the window, which was quite comfortable. Music wasn't loud, which was lovely, but a buzzing atmosphere of noisy chatter. Not a meditative place, but definitely friendly and happy. The staff too fit that description. Food was excellent. Not too slow in arriving, despite the crowd. The fried chicken sandwich tasted amazing, but the relatively small serving came on a huge plate on its own. Was left feeling I'd overpaid for that one. Just a little. The French toast was very good. Unfortunately, it came with a granola sprinkle that contained nuts. Just as well I was sharing. The staff apologised and offered to have it remade, but I had the half without nuts. I have an intolerance and not a full-on allergy. All in all, a fun place with tasty food that's maybe just edging into being overpriced.
Loved it! Outlier is a real gem. The food is excellent, creative, well-executed and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, which suits the space perfectly. Service is on the slower side, but given it's a small kitchen turning out quality dishes, that's easy to forgive. Well worth a visit.
The pastries are excellent! The place is really cool, service is friendly (it can be slow though) and there's a great lunch menu with big portions. The main issue is that this place seems to be always ridiculously busy, we have had to walk out on a couple of times because it's completely packed. Nice coffee too.
