Description
Begin your journey in Luss, a village on Loch Lomond’s shore, with a leisurely walk to the Bonnie Banks and views of water and hills.
Drive towards Glencoe, passing the historic site of Dalrigh and learn about Robert the Bruce’s escape from the MacDougall Clan. Continue to the Three Sisters Viewpoint for panoramic views of the three peaks featured in films like James Bond’s Skyfall.
Follow Loch Linnhe’s shores to Castle Stalker Viewpoint to see this medieval fortress on an island in Loch Laich, known for its cinematic appearances including Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Travel down the west coast to Oban, the “Gateway to the Isles.” Enjoy a lunch break (not included) where you can sample Scottish seafood and local dishes. Explore Oban’s harbor and Victorian architecture during your stop.
Drive along Loch Awe, Scotland’s longest freshwater loch, to Kilchurn Castle, a 15th-century ruin and one of Scotland’s most photographed sites. Before returning to Glasgow, stop at the Green Welly in Tyndrum for a rest, refreshments, and shopping for Scottish goods.
The tour concludes with a return to Glasgow at approximately 5:30 PM.
