Description
The tour departs from Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow, following the western shores of Loch Lomond into the Highlands. The first stop is the Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint with valley views.
Next is Inveraray, located on Loch Fyne’s banks, where you can explore the town or visit Inveraray Castle (open Thursday to Monday, April to October, entry fee not included).
The route continues north to Loch Awe, featuring the ruins of Kilchurn Castle visible from a scenic viewpoint. At lunchtime, you arrive in Oban, known for its seafood restaurants. Optional activities include walking up to McCaig’s Tower for views toward the Isle of Mull.
After lunch, the tour visits a viewpoint overlooking Castle Stalker, a castle set on a tidal islet in Loch Laich. Then it proceeds to Glencoe, a valley rich in history and surrounded by mountains where you may spot deer.
The day concludes with an evening refreshment stop in Loch Lomond National Park before returning to Glasgow.
