Local tip
Consider memberships at Thermal if planning regular visits for consistent wellness benefits.

Located in Glasgow, Thermal offers a comprehensive wellness experience centered around the synergistic benefits of bio-stacking. The venue integrates four different therapies within a single setting, focusing on the healing powers of red light, heat, cold, and salt. Upon entering, guests are enveloped by the soothing, warm amber glow of Himalayan salt bricks, creating a calming environment that enhances respiratory health and rejuvenates the skin. The red light therapy available at Thermal is designed to penetrate the skin and tissues, promoting cellular repair and regeneration. This advanced treatment aims to improve circulation and reduce inflammation, offering a holistic approach to health and recovery.

The Finnish sauna further complements the wellness offerings by increasing core temperature, promoting detoxification and boosting circulation. Following a heated session, guests can invigorate their senses with a cold plunge. This therapy constricts blood vessels, which can ease muscle soreness and reduce inflammation, making it ideal for those passionate about sports and fitness. Halotherapy, or salt therapy, plays a significant role by enhancing both respiratory health and skin condition. As guests relax in front of the salt wall, they can breathe deeper and achieve a sense of overall well-being.

Thermal stresses the importance of combining these therapies to maximize their individual benefits, a process referred to as bio-stacking. By engaging in this comprehensive treatment strategy, guests may find relief from stress, improved detoxification, and a boost in immune function.

The experience was truly amazing. The staff are absolutely lovely and very attentive. The place is spotlessly clean and it’s lovely to have an hour all to yourself. The ice baths are… how can I put it? Invigorating (to say the least 😂) with really cold water. It’s a bit of a shock at first, but it feels absolutely brilliant. I loved the red lighting and the salt wall. As someone who’s always stressed, it completely reset my body and mind. I’m not giving often 5 stars because I think there’s always room for improvement and you have to keep moving forward, but honestly it was very good. My only regret is that an hour is too short – it feels so good. I’d recommend it

Loved our session at Thermal. It was perfect for a day of recovery. The staff member was friendly and informative. The room was a relaxing space with water, showers and toilet in addition to the therapies provided. We'll definitely be back. Great value for money, free parking right outside.

what a (very) hidden away gem, at the back of the gym (important - park on main road not where google may take you to when you out in the address), friendly staff and just a great we spot to unwind, do something a bit different and catch up with friends while egging each other on for the cold plunge. excellent facility, clean and well laid out - will be back, if I can be braver and do the plunge 🤣 my 2 friends did it I was the woose 🤣
