Reviews
We were pleasantly surprised by this location. Although the outside looks like an old building, inside there is a modern, tasteful and well-kept environment. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are clean and properly equipped. The beds are comfortable and you can rest well. We felt good the whole time we stayed there and we highly recommend this hotel in the center of Glasgow.
We stayed at Clayton Hotel for one night during a trip between cities, and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is modern, cozy, and has a great bar with a nice selection of cocktails, drinks, and snacks. The rooms are exceptionally clean, you really can't find a single thing out of place. They're modern, but also decorated in a warm and inviting way. The reception staff were helpful and polite. We also tried the self check-in system for the first time, and it saved us a lot of time. It was very simple and intuitive. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back as we are in Glasgow often. It has a great location, and there's really nothing to complain about. It's simply wonderful, and it's just as affordable as other well-known popular hotels nearby. This one wins hands down.
Hotel was nice. Only stayed one night. Location is fairly central. Nothing is to far of a walk away. Depending on your room its either meh or great. Nice restaurant and bar. I would recommend to tourist or business trip
Great experience from start to finish. Booking was easy, location was perfect, only a 10 min walk from our venue. Staff on the front desk were polite, friendly and helpful on arrival and when checking out with no fuss in leaving our bags there for the day while we waited for our train later on. I've been in some hotels where there is no organisation with the process and bags have been dumped into various cupboards throught the building with patrons handed the key to go get themselves. So brilliant for that. The room was perfect for what we needed (Deluxe Double) very clean and spacious. Breakfast the next day was great, good options of food, hot food was hot. The only feedback around this is, access to the food was stopped directly at 10am, i've seen some hotels allow the food to continue to be consumed as long as you were in the dining area before 10am to cut down on excessive food waste. Obviously timings need to be monitored for the turnaround of the lunch servings but it's something to consider. Checking out was easy again, digital and in person options with friendly staff. Overall an amazing experience and would definitely book again.
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. Our room overlooked the River Clyde. We were in the heart of Glasgow and very close to public transportation, although there were plenty of activities within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. We hope to have a chance to visit again.
