Excellent hotel with a great location. The rooms and facilities are very clean, and the staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A very special mention to Douglas at the reception, who was exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful. He truly made us feel welcome and comfortable, and he is one of the main reasons we enjoyed the hotel and felt so positive about the place. His excellent attitude and hospitality made a real difference to our stay. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is well located and provides a high level of service. The rooms were clean, cosy, and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and cooperative throughout our stay. The main downside was the nearby railway. The train noise was loud and disturbing, particularly in rooms facing the railway. However, the hotel staff were very cooperative and moved us to quieter inner rooms. Better sound insulation would significantly improve the experience for guests staying on the railway side. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend staying at this hotel.
Fantastic hotel - I had an Executive king sized bedroom unexpectedly (I thought I was in a standard) and it was absolutely gorgeous. In every way. Spotless rooms, lovely extras, lovely staff at breakfast and in the lobby and cleaning the rooms. And this was despite it being the Commonwealth Games and full of amazing athletes. My sons had a room with a queen and a good-sized single bed and loved their room, too - especially their shower. Highly recommend. The carpark was just opposite.
I stayed here from July 4 to 11. We arrived at 730 am to the hotel and were not greeted very nicely. The girls at the counter were very unfriendly and it was almost as if they were doing us a favor to hold our luggage. We asked for an ewelt check in but they said its not possible. Once we got our rooms... the carpets are old and dirty... my sheets had a huge stain on them. Garbage were not cleaned our daily. Dirty spoons after use were not replenished. The location is great however be aware as it is a very unsafe area in the evenings after 8. Lots of drunks, crime and police presence everywhere. I would not recommend this hotel.
The team running breakfast during our stay were absolutely amazing and I couldn't rate them more highly. Staff recognising you and recalling conversations each day felt so personal and really warming. Only downside for us personally is cost of drinks and cost of things in the mini shop, it's a small thing but it put us off from using both. Rooms were immaculate and the bedding is so comfortable. Bathroom is sleek, clean and stylish, plenty of space and amenities. Really recommend, it's in a nice spot for accessing lots even if it feels a bit rundown in the surrounding area
