Friendly staff, delicious food, great atmosphere! We had the chicken, waffle and maple syrup, Cajun halloumi stack with a side of halloumi bites and deep fried pickles. The thurderdog sauce is extra spicy!
Visited Thunderdog on Byres Road and tried the Salt ’n’ Chilli Crispy Chicken Dog — absolutely brilliant. The chicken was perfectly crispy with that proper Glasgow salt‑and‑chilli kick, topped off perfectly with a chinese-style curry sauce. Paired it with a fresh lemonade and an Irn‑Bru float, which were both spot‑on and matched the fun, diner‑style vibe. Great flavours, great portions, and a really enjoyable visit. Would definitely go back.
This place really lives up to the expectations we had from finding it on TikTok. I’m veggie and my partner is a meat eater and we were both stunned with how good the food is. I had the hot honey dog and I can say without fail that is the best vegetarian hot dog I have had ever. The thundersmash burger was immense and the hot honey mozzarella bites…. They need a whole review of their own, sooo good. We were served by Demi who was so attentive and really lovely. The whole vibe of the place is great. The cocktails are brilliant too I would 100% come back for another gummy bear cocktail. Don’t sleep on thunderdog otherwise you’ll be missing out massively!! thanks everyone on the team, we will see you again next time we’re in Glasgow
Perhaps i was expecting too much. Everything felt made from frozen. I ordered a milkshake, fried pickles, burnt ends, a hot dog and birria loaded fries. Burnt ends were very dry, almost inedible if being honest. Fries and birria felt cooked from frozen and a premade meat warmed up on top. Hotdog looked great, tasted okay. Too much of everything against the meat / ratio was a bit off. Best thing were the deep fried pickles and shake. Not a bad place if you want a bite but not a place would come again.
WOW. . . Thank 😊 you to Jay Jay and the wonderful young girl who were our servers today . This was our first time we had starters and a main . The great thing all dishes came out together ❤️. Food was tastey , great portions and fab value for money . Yes, here I go toilets 🚻 clean .
