We found this restaurant on google maps and decided to give it a try. After a simple hour wait, our table was ready. The food we got was practically perfect, we all enjoyed it thoroughly, especially the Italian guest we had. The problem lies within the bill, which was presented to us including a tip who is supposedly optional, but we were never asked if we wanted to tip. I know some places add the tip automatically, but here it claims to be optional but it wasn’t. A bit scummy in my opinion which is disappointing since the food was so good.
Great selection of traditional food, the dishes I tried were delicious. Wonderful sophisticated atmosphere playing a nice selection of Scottish music. Kind and helpful staff too. I would recommend.
Lovely and friendly members of staff. The food was delicious! I had 3 starters because I wanted to try as much food as I possibly could. The Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties was sooo yummy, as was the Haggis Scotch Egg. I also got the King Scallops which tasted so nice, but is on the expensive side. The Scottish Tablet ice cream and Iron Bru ice cream were exactly what I was hoping for! I also had a Rhubarb Spritz mocktail which was very welcome and refreshing! I went during the heatwave, and it was very warm inside, but I had my own handheld fan to keep me slightly cool. If I come back to Glasgow, I definitely would love to come back and try some other items on the menu! 🥰
What a well worth place to have dinner! The food was outstanding - calamari & chicken Milanese. Service was great even when a very large tour group came in. Good sign! Loved the atmosphere!
Absolutely amazing dining experience at Mharsanta last night. This was my first visit here, after it was recommended to me by my friend who I was dining with. Everything about the night was just perfect. The food was just incredible - no two ways about it. I had the soup of the day for my starter (Scotch Broth), Fish and Chips for the main and then once I had recovered from that little lot - I found space for a cheeky caramel slice dessert - served with custard. The atmosphere in the restaurant was just brilliant. We managed to get a window seat, there was a good number of other diners in, so it was a really nice vibe about the place. The service was amazing - our waiting staff were extremely attentive, and made sure we were happy with our food. Overall this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had - top marks well deserved Mharsanta - am already looking forward to my next visit here!
